Nation built on consummate dreamers--
Gritty optimists working their plans from travel-dusted packs, well into the bonfire night

Founding wrought from ideas, not of things--
Legends galvanized upon a mythical landscape beyond the reach of preconceived ways

Regain your footing, sons and daughters, on this firmament of Freedom, Law and Love--
Get up and dream again

A very well written story!
-Shirley Priscilla Johnson, Midwest Book Review

Set in the emotional aftermath of his rambling bus epic, West of 16W, the author explores the growing discontent of a generation coming to terms with the tail end of an era of optimism and economic boom. A telling story of a country caught up in the aimless, credit-burdened fervor of a real estate bubble, Eastbound follows the romance and travails of an unsettled man in his late twenties as he and his friends chase their unconventional aspirations in an era dominated by apathy, materialism, and self-interest.

Forget the fact that I wasn’t born of the most amazing time and space. Ivan Boesky insider-green worship and suburban grade school promises of corner office mediocrity; an Iron Curtain exchanged for blanket exploitation and blue light specials on plastic benders; double-stuffed crust and super-sized McMansions in fertile cow pastures. It was time for this country to be fast and lean again—hungry for more than just more… And I wasn’t waiting for some hair-gel revolutionaries to tell me so, but starting by example, one novel at a time, one compatriot at a time...

His densely, almost scientifically descriptive style captures local flavors and personalities.
-Tim Norris, New Jersey Herald News

Based on his own quarter-life crisis and subsequent cross-country journey, WEST OF 16W explores the societal fears and pressures that threaten to drown the seedling aspirations of today's 20-somethings striving for more than instant material wealth. Meet Mark, the son of immigrants, whose need to fulfill familial expectations led to a life of hard study culminating in a Ph.D. by his mid-20's. Yet underneath the disciplined scientist facade, Mark had always dreamed of traveling the country and writing great novels. And so, with diploma in hand and love life in shambles, Mark hits the road to explore his long-suppressed literary aspirations. Set amongst the uncertainty of post-9/11 America, WEST OF 16W takes us into the quarter-life crisis of a young man as told through the scrolling tableau of the American landscape. From the deep south of Charleston, to his North Jersey hometown, to the west coast by bus, the novel is as much an introspective journey as cross-country adventure as Mark seeks balance between familial expectations, personal aspirations, and the affection of the woman he loves.
